I'm finally 18.

I can not believe that I am graduating next week. Today was my last full day of high school and I'm sad/excited at the same time.
This year has been good for me school-wise. I ended up being in the top 4% of my class, I've made friends that I think I'll keep for a while, even with the strains of long-distances between us. However, my creative side has definitely been lagging behind... Hopefully that will change this summer.


37 days until my 18th birthday.
Going to Massachusetts and New York City.
Getting tattoos.
College.

Can't wait.

Last night, around 12:00, I got home from an awesome (but very tiring) weekend. I went to the Harvest of Hope festival in St. Augustine. Three days of amazing music... Indie, ambient, acoustic, instrumental, punk, jazz, blues, rap, hip hop, etc. Besides the lackluster camping arrangements and the terrible sunburn I am suffering from now, it was really great.

Some of the bands we saw: Holy Fuck (...so good live ), Deerhunter, City Lights Bloom, Lymbyc System, The Mountain Goats, Ra Ra Riot, Willie Green, The Harlem Shakes, Kiss Kiss, Cheap Girls, Grand Buffet, Girl Talk, Ruby Coast, Yip-Yip, Averkiou, Against Me!, Antarctic, Viernes, Murs... I don't know, there were so many.

Now I must go finish the unbeatable pile of homework I have to do in a ridiculously short time. Damn you, school, damn you. Please enjoy my continued absence from any form of creativity while I drown under the burdens of school.
